LEVEL UP SUMMER!
SummerLAB is a hands-on summer camp program that gets kids cooking, gardening, and building community through food!
THE DETAILS:
King George High School, 1755 Barclay St, Vancouver
9 am – 3 pm
Tuesdays – Fridays
Grades 2-7
Each week of SummerLAB features a unique food and garden-inspired theme:
🌱 July 14–17: Roots & Shoots
☀️ July 28–31: Seasonal Superpowers*
*Contingent on the number of expressions of interest received
THE CAMPER EXPERIENCE:
Age-aligned small teams
Daily opportunities to prepare and enjoy a communal morning snack and a nutritious, delicious, and seasonal lunch
Cooking, gardening, crafting activities, outdoor play, and team challenges
Engaging weekly themes focusing on seasonal food, eating the rainbow, and how to grow our own food
WHAT CAMPERS WILL LEAVE WITH:
A deeper connection to food, where it comes from, and how to grow it
Happy memories and lifelong skills
Tried and tested recipes from their camp kitchen
A sense of community

We're looking for enthusiastic high school students who enjoy working with children and want to make a positive impact in their community.
As a volunteer, you'll help support camp activities, build leadership skills, gain valuable volunteer experience, and be part of a fun and welcoming team. Whether you're helping in the kitchen, the garden, or during games and activities, you'll play an important role in creating a great camp experience for our campers.
