Want to bring hands-on food-focused learning into your classroom? Do you want your students to get curious about food, how it can tell stories, and connect us to others? On the Growing Chefs’ Classroom Program, professional chefs and food educators will come to your school to deliver a series of interactive, curriculum-connected sessions. Keep reading to find out more!

COOK, TASTE, AND EXPLORE

Students will cook, taste, and explore the origins of their food across three engaging lessons that explore the themes of gardening, cooking, and sharing food. Designed to spark curiosity and build real-world skills, each lesson brings food literacy to life, right in your classroom.

  • Consistent Scheduling: Visits are scheduled on the same weekday for each session, based on what works best for your class.

  • Chef-Led Lessons: A professional Chef Educator will be paired with your class to lead our fun, hands-on curriculum.

  • Everything Provided: We bring all the materials, tools, and ingredients you’ll need—you just provide the students and a bit of windowsill space for our mini-gardens.

Now Accepting Applications for Fall 2025!

We are currently scheduling October and November visits on the following days:

  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays

  • Morning or Afternoon sessions

Sessions are limited and will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Program Cost

There is a $500 program fee per classroom (3 sessions) to help cover the cost of ingredients, equipment, and staff time. However, no school is ever turned away due to lack of funds. If cost is a barrier, just let us know, we’re happy to work with you to find a solution.
