Adopt-A-Classroom

Our Classroom Gardening and Cooking Program is only achievable through the generous support of the community. Each year, families, individuals, and businesses donate to adopt a Growing Chefs classroom. These funds support the edible education experience for up to 25 B.C. kids who may not otherwise have access to edible education. Adopting a classroom is an opportunity to make a direct impact by supporting the delivery of invaluable skills that last a lifetime.


Adopt-A-Classroom funds go towards covering the classroom costs and materials, including:

  • Cooking equipment

  • Books and educational materials

  • Fresh produce

  • Staff hours

  • Material transportation

  • Volunteer training and coordination

  • Classroom program updates

  • An invitation to visit your classroom and to witness the program in action

  • Opportunities for staff to volunteer (for businesses)

  • Recognition on our website and on social media.





Adopt-A-Classroom:
$5,000 – Bring our edible education programming to an entire classroom.
$2,500 – Bring our edible education programming to a bunch of eager learners. 
$1,000 – Provide fresh vegetables, cooking equipment, and learning materials to a classroom.

Even the smallest donations help to bring edible education programming to a classroom. Donations to Growing Chefs are eligible for a charitable tax receipt and can be made here.
